Had to take the volvo today. Some bloody so called self-confessed hi-fi lady gets in with a friend. She takes the seat across me, crosses her leg prevents the guy sitting in front of her to sit properly. Poor guy doesn't say anything. If this wasn't enough, she has the audacity to infringe on my sitting space and touch my leg with her sandal( i'd rather say kick!). This happens a couple of times, and I point her to it and say not acceptable...She mutters a hardly heard sorry and tells her friend loudly, "lets get down" (they were 2 stops away from their actual stop!). Man what @#$@#$~

This lady comes on my bus. She has a fixed routine... Get into the bus, sit in the second row, no matter what. Drink water. Take out headphones and plug into music. Remove a dupatta drape it on the head. This is not all, do the reverse when just about to get down. I aint kidding, its the same process morning or evening!

The other day I was waiting at my stop for the ITPL bus and a few feet away were some school students. One girl especially caught my eye. I saw her feed some stray dogs. That was such a humane gesture. Made me think, (though I would never feed even a domestic dog!) as to what a sweet gesture that was.

Confused, I know I am, but am I that obvious??

Aaaa! Okie… back to the tag. The first part is partly easy, thanks to one of the conversations I had with a few pals and not so pals, I know a few things I wanna do before 30 …

Here’s my list of 10 things to do before 35-

a. Adventure sports – that’s my latest craze and going rafting on the Ganges is my latest dream… I saw one of my friends do it and have been keen ever since. The only hurdle I see though is the fact that I don’t know how to swim! I need to learn it at least for the psychological effect it will have on my confidence J
b. Keeping with the adventure craze, I wanna go Skydiving. The adrenaline rush is unfathomable, I think.
c. Want to get away from anything and everything I know. One way to do it would be to go Back-packing for a week. Not with strangers, but definitely with someone, who would not remind me of anything that has already happened in my life. In the flow if this happens in Europe, nothing like it at all!!
d. Egypt … Need I say more?? The mystery adds to it.
e. Be so passionate and involved in something, that I forego my sleep for a straight 48 hours and not realize it one bit.
f. Unlike BVN, I wanna get away from home. 26 years is enough. Need to get out.
g. A room full of soft toys, paints, brushes, canvas, beautiful music and rain outside and me inside
h. a BMW car and an empty highway winding through a mountain! (Sorry for robbing this from yur list Mr. Rover).
i. Let me rob one from BVN too, spending the night at a beach , but no thanks for the drinks… a good companion will do
j. Settle down with my soul mate (had to say something that a typical Indian girl would say, didn’t I?)

10 things I miss about life right now.

1. Today I think I’ll go onsite, tomorrow I will want to change my job, another day I want to change my profession. What is missing is direction. I want to know where my priorities and loyalties lie.
2. A place that is silent, peaceful and away from the competition and free from any sort of expectation, needs and wants.

Humans have this constant need to stand out in a crowd, to be admired for something unique. Nail Art is the child of this very need.

On occasions and if done well, nail art can be very beautiful. But in my opinion most of the nail arts out in the market make you unique in the worst way possible.

Its bad enough that we grow nails and accumulate all the dirt and grime in them. Some people go ahead and add toxic materials like paints and stones(god knows where and how they are manufactured) onto them making it more dangerous than ever!!

Nail Art is huge in Mumbai, being the fashion/movie capital of this country. People who are good at it make big bucks by just painting other's nails. That was a big eye opener for me!! The concept of alternate profession hit me like lightning. Imgaine if I could make around 400Rs just by painting someone else's nails... Wow! Forget the danger of it! Forget whether it is good or bad! Its all about the money honey! ;)

A BIG FAT Indian Wedding - Exactly the opposite of what my bro and SIL (for the uninitiated it stands for Sister-In-Law) had in mind. Whatever it was, it is a time I'll remember forever! I took off 3 entire weeks to help my parents with the preparation and the roller coaster of a ride started off right then...

From umpteen to a dozen relatives pouring in, to the small minute details that had to be kept in mind, it kept everyone on their toes. The biggest difference was no one was complaining. Everyone was having the best of time. Mom and Dad were the most dutiful hosts making sure that everyone was comfortable.

The reception was held a day before the wedding and what a huge turnout that was. It still boggles me that I know so many people! Talking to all of them was a task, cause I didn't want to miss anyone! The entire extravaganza was colorful, bright and lasted real long... we had dinner at 12! Wow!! Never ever in my entire life had I done that!!

The D-Day dawned quite early... 2:30AM I was up after a mere 1 hour sleep. Ceremonies customs kept going on and on. At around 11 when the knots were actually tied, I had tears in my eyes. A sudden feeling of things changing and nothing ever being the same again. A good feeling or bad, at that point I did not know... but it weighed quite heavy on my heart.No one noticed it except the MTV Guy! Grrr.. to him for that! :)

I thought after D-day things would grind down to a slow halt, but guess marriage aint a one day ceremony! Its been almost 2 weeks since the wedding, but the sweet fragrance and memories still linger in and around home... Things will definitely go back to the usual but the memories will survive my lifetime :)

Bermuda - Bermuda Triangle! hehe... Naa... Bermuda is just one corner of the triangle... as safe as any other place in the world. When my bro said he was going there... I was like - "You crazy or something!", most ignorant of world's geography!

A small country, tucked away in the Atlantic ocean, known for its pink sandy beaches and nice people. Well this is all the information that I got from my brother... but the pics look just too amazing and I thought I definitely have to share one of them with you!

Bangalore – What else?

There is a saying in kannada that goes “Oorella sutidre, kayalle siktu”. Meaning – “We searched the whole wide world to find it in our hand”. This was the very saying that came to my mind when I saw the beautiful sunset while returning back home – returning to Bangalore. I must confess that I am a sunrise/sunset freak. I just love watching them. I have traveled both to the west and east coast of India and I have loved watching all the sunrises and sunsets there. This episode happened the day I was returning from a short trip out of Bangalore. Luckily I had a camera with me and I was able to take some really pretty snaps of the sunset. Beautiful! That is the only word that I can think of.

Belum Caves – Pleasant Surprises

Stalagmites and stalactites, sound familiar? I too had read about them in school. Limestone formations that rise from the ground and drop from the ceiling. Then after 9 years I heard about them existing in this place called Belum Caves near Ananthpur in A.P. My curiosity got the better of me, I so badly wanted to go there that I even agreed to attend a far-off relatives wedding in order to see this place (I just hope that no one remotely concerned with the wedding reads this). It was a bit intimidating to be entering a cave, the darkness and the unknown gets to you at times. The whole place was so beautiful and so well maintained that it brought a smile out on everyone's face (My parents weren’t all that interested as they had seen a better one in the US). The cave is so well lighted; some places even have fresh air ducts which give a reprieve from the low oxygen levels in the cave. At a depth of 120ft we found a fresh water source, named as “Patala Ganga” (as is done to most places in India, they had to find a religious reason here too :) ). It is beautiful to see the different formations; we even found a formation which created music when tapped against!! We visited a part of the cave where the oxygen level was so low that we could just feel ourselves tiring out just by standing there (my mom felt like we were on a volcano!) It is definitely a Must-See place.

Karwar – The Hidden Treasure

My trip to karwar was more of a get-away-from-work trip, than an enjoy-the-vacation one. It was a pleasant surprise when we actually got to see clear blue water (never thought I could see through sea water in INDIA!!). It was a sweeter surprise to see all the wild dolphins that provided a calming effect (they are so damn cute… even from a distance!!). The water sports were a welcome treat, very different from the sedentary job that I hold! Wish I could do that for a living. The island was a good reprieve from all the crowds, dust and pollution. It was made more fun by my buddies who made sure that we enjoyed every bit of it! A place where nothing seemed important enough to worry about… A time well spent - a trip well worth it!

They say, it doesn’t make sense to pick up a pen to write when you haven’t yet stood up to live, but what to do… there are so many things to be told hehe… don’t worry… just njoy readin…

They say text messaging or smsing ruins our language… but hey hold your horses. First, let’s answer a few questions before we go into The-Argument.

How did humans first communicate?? Signals, for screaming out loud!! Then the next question… How did they communicate when they weren’t face to face? With the help of figures and pictures. (Well it seems this sentence is not grammatically correct as per MS-Word – but it seems you understood it pretty well – so I care a damn!!). Then the language was brought into picture in order to allow people to communicate with utmost ease.

Well now comes the million dollar question… Does smsing ruin our language? Well for starters… if language wasn’t meant to simplify our lives, why was it invented? Ok, here I go breaking one more foremost rule in the art of conversation… that of answering a question with another question. In our defense, smsing improves communication and that I believe is the main aim of a language. Therefore, as long as we have the right aim and the right direction, we dnt hv to wrry!! So people njoy smsin… hehe!

suddenly, they are waylaid by 4 goondas on wicked looking bikes, raising the accelerator while in neutral

sentu says, "semiya my dear, don't get out of the car, it's too dangerous for u"
he gets out, locks the car, removes his jacket

the goondas come forward, one with a hockey stick, one with a chain, one with a sickle, and one with a baseball bat

the rest, they say, is history, and within moments semiya jumps out of the car and clings on to him crying "oooh, my sentu darlin"
the 4 of course are writhing in pain on the ground

From my interpretation of whats going on from morning and with a bit of flashback from yesterdays event ( Sentu's date). This story now seems like a rectangular love story. The main characters are
1. Sweet SEMIYA
2. Sentu DADA 420
3.Mental Manju
4.Virgin Vittal

The story continues from where KK stopped..........................

After fighting with the goons & chasing them off., like the 1980's movie sentu starts running (in slow motion) from one side towards semiya and semiya starts running( again in slow motion) towards sentu. There is beautiful background music & but when they are about to hug. Mental Manju comes and hugs sentu. He starts crying Sentu is mine !!! Sentu is mine!!! This makes semiya angry and she kills Manju. Now KK (special appearance) as police inspector catches ( Really what catch!!! ) Semiya & puts her in jail. Now Since Sentu is alone and wants to get married he falls in love with Vittal ( special appearance ) bcoz he has an extra ' V '. They get married. Finally Vittal looses his ' V ' & sentu gets a small Eentu to play with. They live happily ever after.

The title comes up " ITS THE BEGINNING"

THE film ends so go do your work people.

The director calls fr a small change in scene…

a small detail....me being the inspector would handcuff sentu and vittal together with a big smile on my face....saying yeh pyaar ka bandhan hai....and of course, the rest of the cast is there for a family photo

the critic speaks again: n man wht a comment!!
